We are so excited to bring this workshop to you in Garden City it’s been in the designing process for quite some time and it’s even more beautiful than we expected. Wait till you see these in person! In this workshop we will show you how to pour your resin on the canvas and then layer your bridge and trees. We have some tricks we can show you to make your project look more 3D and if you want you can light up your sky with remote controlled LED lights that operation off of 3 AA batteries (we even give you your first set free).

Spring Cookie Class

Tables are limited to 6 guests per table and we will be seating communal style. If there are certain people you want to seat will I recommend booking under one name.
 
 

Join us for a DIY COOKIE KIT CLASS AND FUNDRAISER for Straight Farmhouse Museum hosted by Rebecca Morrow of Good Cupcakes Co.

Every Kit Comes with a mix of 6 cookies: Gnome, Butterfly, Flower, Mushroom shaped cookies just perfect for spring!
 
During this beginner technique class we will learn how to 1. Flood a cookie 2. Wet on Wet techniques 3. Add some finishing details. The cookie artist is donating her time and we are not doing elaborate designs which is reflected in the affordable pricing. Feel free to bring anything you would like to sip on in a beverage container with a lid. No outside food aloud. No food or beverage service provided by the venue.
 
There is an add on option to bring children, they will receive icing and sprinkles so the guardians can coach them while enjoying the adult class.

Beautiful Garden Stake Class

Please join us for this beautiful garden stake workshop. You may chose to make ANY design you’d like. Like butterflies? Flowers? You will get to make 1 garden stake with your ticket purchase,

Display your beautiful creation in your garden with stake included. Approx size of glass piece is 6″ tall. Grab a friend ~ Great Ladies Night Out.

All materials will be provided. No experience is needed. Dexterity needed for light cutting. Join us to see how easy it is to cut glass. The base glass piece will already be cut to size for you. This class is appropriate for children age 10+ who are accompanied by a paid adult and cut the glass for them (need to purchase 2 spots)

All projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and assembled and can be picked up the following week at the store during open hours. An email will be sent out with pickup instructions.

If you’d like to pay by mail, a $5 non refundable deposit is required. You would deduct $5 from your mailed payment. Deposit is non-refundable if you change your mind or unable to attend. An Email will be sent approx 30 days prior to the event with mailing instructions.

Cocktail Class: Vodka Drinks

Vodka is the bestselling spirit in the world, but it’s not always been that way.

In this class Rebecca will talk about its history and why it sometimes gets a bad rap in the craft cocktail world.

Then you’ll explore a variety of cocktails that find ways to take advantage of vodka’s neutrality, including using infusions and other creative techniques.

 
Your booking includes light snacks (pretzels, nuts). The class includes a combination of history and stories, technique instruction, and hands-on making of cocktails. Plus sampling, of course! Total consumption is equivalent to around 2 cocktails per person over the 2 hour class.

DUE TO THERE BEING SO MANY PROJECT OPTIONS, THIS FORM IS LONG. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REVIEW EVERYTHING. If you are having trouble PLEASE reach out to us!

Here is how it works:
–Simply fill out the questionnaire (found when you click the “Buy Ticket” Link.
-We cut your wood to size and the stencil of the design you chose and bring it to the event.

At the event:
-You stain/ paint your wood as you prefer and assemble the sign.
-Then have fun painting your stencil  or interchangeable pieces and creating a beautiful piece you can take home!

Again, no worries if you’re not artistic! We will walk you through each step, so you will have a great piece at the end! We are there to help and make sure you have FUN!

1) Arrive on time.
2) Wear clothes you can paint in. (I’ll provide smocks, but just to be safe.)

Up-cycled Garden Flower Workshop

Join us for a fun and creative workshop where you’ll learn how to transform everyday items into beautiful garden flowers! Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this hands-on event is perfect for all skill levels.

During this workshop, our expert instructors will guide you through the process of up-cycling various materials like plates, bowls, cups and candle holders and transforming them into stunning garden flowers.

You’ll not only learn how to assemble them, about sustainable them but also discover creative ways to repurpose items that might otherwise end up in the landfill.

Bring your imagination and get ready to have a blast as you create unique and eye-catching flowers to enhance your garden. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow garden enthusiasts, share ideas, and learn new techniques.

All supplies will be provided.

What you will get (included in the cost):

-4 to 5 tiers of glass or ceramic plates, bowls, cups, etc (from a collection of about 300 pieces)
-Holder on the back to insert a rebar (rebar can be purchased at the hardware stores approx $5 after the class)
-Instructions on how to attach them using a caulking gun adhesive at the class!
-Embellishments like flat backed glass gems and resin flower, embellishments for decorating your masterpiece.

Workshop cost is $37. There will be a discounted price of $25 should you decide to make a 2nd one.I think you will have so much fun, you will want to make another! You can pay the day of the event should you decide to make a second.

Kids Garden Flower Art Project

Come craft with us for this beautiful Mother’s Day project.

Let the kid’s come and pick out their favorite colors and surprise Mom for Mother’s Day. We will assemble in class together. Super easy. No mess, no fuss and so many pretty colors and designs to choose from.

All of the pieces will have holes drilled in them and we will assemble them to a stake by nuts & bolts and will be ready to be taken home that day and given to Mom the next day! Mom will be so thrilled that you made her a flower to put in her garden! Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. No drop offs.

Beginner Level sculpted tumbler.

This workshop is age friendly for all ages, we teach you color choice and how to sculpt your own cow or pig tumbler using special sculpting materials. The tumbler will then be completed off site with 3-4 more coats where sayings can be added for a small fee and returned to you a 2-3 weeks later.

Wine Bottle Wind Chimes

Join us for a fun-filled day at our Wine Bottle Windchime Workshop Animal Rescue Fundraiser in Garden City, MI.

Get ready to unleash your creativity and help support a great cause. Proceeds will benefit Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue in Livonia. We will also have a bake sale and raffle baskets.

A fun class and very rewarding. All materials provided. You’ll be able to pick from a variety of colored beads and sails (bottom piece) I will give you a bird’s eye view of how to score and cut the wine bottles. However, the bottles will be cut prior to the class but you will have hands on instructions on how to smoothen the edges and bead your beautiful creation!

No experience is needed, This class is appropriate for children age 10+ who are accompanied by a paid adult who will supervise (due to limited seating, will need to purchase 2 spots)

Join us for a heartfelt gathering at the Keepsake Flower Memorial Garden in Garden City, MI, USA. This special event will take place at 6221 Merriman Road, where we’ll come together to honor and remember our loved ones.

Learn how to incorporate your loved one’s ashes into glass artwork and create a forever keepsake piece. In the example shown, cremation ashes are located at the bottom (in the ground) and in the center of the flower. The flowers symbolizes that you grew because of them…. and that you continue to grow because of them. The ashes can be from a special loved one or you may combine ashes so that they are together in your beautiful piece of art.
This is a beautiful piece and I will help you start with the flower (the focal point) and show you how to dam the ashes so that they are secure and fill in the background for a beautiful contour fuse in the kiln. Your project will be complete and delivered back to the Farmhouse (where we have the class) in 10-12 days.
If you chose the pay by mail option, approx 3-4 weeks prior to class you will receive an email with mailing instructions and deduct your $5 deposit. No refunds on the deposit.
