Come join us to create your very own dream greenhouse. $43

All materials will be provided and no experience needed. The instructor will guide you on cutting and assembling the glass to make your dream greenhouse come true! This class is appropriate for adults of all ages.

You will create your design by using a special tac glue as an adhesive and all projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and assembled and will be delivered back to the class location in about 10-12 days. An email will be sent out with pickup instructions.

Please wear closed toe shoes. Drinks that are covered are ok in the venue but food and glass do not mix. Wine is ok too!

If you would like to pay by mail, please chose the “Comp Ticket” option. Payment instructions will be emailed approx. 3-4 weeks prior to the event.

Here Comes the Bride- The History of Weddings.

Join us for an enchanting evening of Fashion and the History of Weddings!
 
Step back in time as we explore wedding trends from the 1800s to today’s latest styles. Watch history come to life as our models showcase a selection of stunning vintage gowns, highlighting how fashion has evolved through the years.
 
The evening begins in the Historic Oddfellows Hall with a fashion show of bridal gowns. From there, we’ll move to the Grande Parlour for a traditional cake and punch reception featuring the cutting of the bridal cake, along with delightful fun facts about wedding traditions.
 
To conclude, you’ll be invited to explore our special exhibit featuring more than 60 wedding gowns on display, along with fascinating artifacts from weddings of the past.

Felt Acorn Class

In this workshop we will teach you how to Resin/Epoxy pour using alcohol ink and mica powders onto birch hardwood. The Hardwood is cut by laser so the details in the shoreline are absolutely amazing. "Inching Along" Garden Caterpillar

Please join us for this super adorable fused glass garden caterpillar. It will be on a glass stake and can be displayed outdoors.

We will be working with a pattern and taking it step by step. The shape of the caterpillar will already be cut for you and we will follow a pattern. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this class a 5. And sure, all skill levels are welcome and even a beginner can join in.

We will teach you how to use glass cutting tools and how fun it is to create with glass.

Caterpillar 9″ long x 3.5 tall-  Red or Turquoise $45
Large Caterpillar 12″ long x 4.5″ tall- Red or Turquoise $55

All materials will be provided. The instructor will show you how easy it is to cut the glass, assemble like a puzzle and make your caterpillar colorful!

You will create your design by using a special tac glue as an adhesive. All projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and will be delivered back to the class location in about 10-12 days. An Email will be sent out with pickup instructions.

2025 Straight Farmhouse Fall Road Rally

Jump in Your Car for the Road Rally!

Get your team of 4–6 players together for an afternoon of puzzles, clues, and challenges that will take you on a fun-filled course. Teams will compete for cash prizes, and at the final destination food and adult beverages will be available for purchase.

New to road rallies? No problem!
Our Road Rally Master, Rob, will walk you through everything you need to know. Team captains will even receive sample clues from past years to practice with—just to give you an idea of what to expect (don’t worry, this year’s clues will be brand new!).

Tickets: $20 per person

Each team member must purchase a ticket. Be ready with your team name and team captain when purchasing.

What to Bring:
Pens, pencils, markers
Scissors, clipboard, tape or glue
Smartphone (with internet, web browser, navigation app)
Snacks, water, trash bag
And most importantly: your wits, an open mind, and a sense of humor!

Haunted Doll Making at the Museum

Join us this night for a haunting good time as we make some Haunted Dolls from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Get ready for a spine-chilling experience at the Straight Farmhouse. If you’re a fan of all things spooky and love getting crafty, this event is perfect for you! Come and create your very own haunted doll that will give you goosebumps. Unleash your creativity as you transform ordinary dolls into haunted masterpieces. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you will leave with a one-of-a-kind decoration.

All materials will be provided. If you have a doll you want to bring you are welcome too! But we will have many to choose from.

Light refreshments will be served. Bring your friends or come solo- all are welcome!

Fused Glass Haunted House Light up Display

Come join us to create your very own spooky haunted house including a stand up lighted display.

This class appropriate for adults of all ages and skill levels. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this a 6. (A little above average for challenging as it will take a lot more concentration).

5th Annual Witch's Gathering: "The Bewitching Broom"

Calling all Witches and Warlocks!

Join our coven for an evening of witchy fun as we uncover the hidden history of the flying magical stick!
✨ Bewitching Brooms ✨

Come learn the enchanted lore of the broomstick as we gather together for goodies and brews that only witches truly enjoy. So grab your broom and fly on over to the Straight Farmhouse (just enter 6221 Merriman Rd., Garden City, MI 48135 into your broom’s GPS) in enchanted Garden City!

The Weather Witches predict a beautiful night! Please note—broom parking is free. All witches and warlocks are welcome, be ye good or bad. No witches will be on trial (this night).
This evening is for spirits and treats only—no spellcasting allowed! And remember: we don’t want to smell any children, so this event is for ages 18 and older.

Our bakers will tempt you with eerie delights: finger foods filled with the eye of newt, spider eggs, and of course… ladyfingers!

Dress Code: Witch or Warlock attire.
🧙‍♀️ One lucky witch or warlock will win a prize for the best broomstick!
🧙 Heads must be covered—visit your favorite hat shop before the shelves are bare, or order the latest craze (Amazon delivery)! The Straight Farmhouse Museum hattery will also have witch hats available to borrow that evening.
