Fused Glass Wreath Ornament

You are invited to join us for an evening of creating fused glass wreaths. Come learn the magic of fused glass and make your very own wreath.

Laurie with Kiss My Glass will show you the beauty of creating with glass and this class is easy enough for a beginner so all skill levels are welcome. Wreath hanging ornament size approx 4″ Nightlight approx 3.5″

All materials will be provided. The instructor will show you how easy it is to assemble like a puzzle and make your very own beautiful design!

You will create your design by using a special tac glue as an adhesive. All projects will go home with the instructor to be kiln fired and will be delivered back to the class location in about 10-12 days. Email will be sent out with pickup instructions.

Your ticket fee includes the venue rental, class instruction, glass materials, supplies and a kiln firing.

Drinks that are covered are ok in the venue but food and glass do not mix. Please wear closed toe shoes.
If you would like to pay by mail, please chose the “Comp Mail Ticket” option. Payment instructions will be emailed approx. 3-4 weeks prior to the event.

Christmas at The Farmhouse with Members from the DSO

Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 3p.m.

Join us at the Historic Oddfellows Hall for an afternoon of Romanian Music, as we welcome back, for their fifth performance, the American Romanian Festival String Quartet.

We are honored to have these talented members of the DSO join us for an afternoon to remember, as this String Quartet takes us on a musical journey.

After the performance everyone is asked to join us at the Straight Farmhouse for the opening of our Christmas Exhibit of Nativities. Over 500 Nativities will be on display.

We will also enjoy a Wine and cheese reception in the Grande Parlour.

Doors will open at 2:30pm: this event is general seating.

Program will begin at 3pm.

Felted Snowman Workshop

Friday, December 12, 2025 at 6p.m.

Join us for a cozy and creative needle felting workshop where you’ll create your own charming snowman!

In this class, you’ll learn to sculpt a soft, wooly snowman approximately 8 inches tall — the perfect size to display through the winter season.

Prefer something smaller? You can choose to make a petite version instead and take your extra wool home to create a second mini snowman later.

During class, you’ll build your snowman, design and decorate cozy accessories, and craft a special “snow bank” for your creation to stand in.

All materials are supplied, and no experience is needed — this workshop is beginner-friendly and full of festive fun. Experienced felters will also enjoy adding detailed touches and getting creative with unique designs and embellishments.

Learn to Make Pierogis

Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 6:30p.m.

Come learn tips and tricks about pierogis from our friend Cheryl Stanley from Choice Catering. This class is hands on learning.

Please bring a kitchen towel, rolling pin, apron, and 13 by 9 pan.
Cheryl will take us step-by-step through the process of creating pierogis. We will also taste them and take the ones you make home to enjoy!

All supplies to make them (and take some home) will be provided. Class size is very limited, so get your ticket right away. We will be at the Historic Oddfellows Hall (6121 Merriman Rd.) in the lower level. Must be able to walk down six stairs.

Book Nook Workshop

Upper/Lower Michigan Resin Pour

Two classes to choose from- 11a.m. & 3p.m.

A unique Resin Pour workshop on Wood or Metal Medium
Please note this is held in the basement of the OddFellows Hall with six steps down.

In this workshop we will teach you how to Resin/Epoxy pour using alcohol ink and mica powders onto birch hardwood. The Hardwood is cut by laser so the details in the shoreline are absolutely amazing. Rocks, Crystals, Shells and other accessories also available for a small charge.

Add ons can be done at the event six inch for $ 15 and/or Keychains $ 5
